Last week was our second CAMPING TRIP!!

Our intrepid explorers took a long walk taking in the Millennium Walkway in New Mills, following the river, then the canal and then the river again before a HUGE hill up to the campsite…Believe it or not James was first up the hill!!

At the campsite we set up the tents and everyone contributed to cooking tea of burgers, mash and beans!

We also collected wood and built a fire for the evening and on it we cooked a special banana dessert and made smores!

The next day we cooked breakfast, packed up camp and then went for a swim in the local river before being picked up to come back to school with some very tired students!

Everyone was awesome and should be proud of themselves for the challenge they have completed!

I love doing the camping trips each year and the trips really showcase how far and how independent the pupils at SBU have become.

Thanks to Mr Mitchell-Kew who attended the second camping trip - you have earned a well deserved rest!!
