Miss Calvo's Class at Lee Quarry
Our 2nd trip for the John Muir Award this half term involved Miss Calvo's class who went out to explore Lee Quarry that is a disused quarry and has now been repurposed by volunteers as a set of mountain bike tracks with a number of art installations dotted around the area.
On the trip we managed to find a ferraterrasaurus, some sheep and a number of huge lakes where we had a go at skimming stones and trying to get all of the way around without getting wet!!
Everyone helped and encouraged each other up the hills and with the cold.
Well done, everyone!
