Over the past week we have started to prepare our year 9's for their camping expedition in the summer by extending their walk distances and challenges on their John Muir sessions.

We started with a 7km walk to explore the beautiful 7 waterfalls in Tintwistle and focused on resilience and courage by jumping the river and climbing up some of the waterfalls.

On our next session we then performed a 10km walk out around the back of Dovestones reservoir to find a hidden waterfall. This gave us the opportunity to do some jumping, balancing and then climbing where it was really important we helped each other to navigate the rough terrain.
